Hearing her constantly whine about how much of her own time she had to waste to find free gifts, enraged my inner damned soul. Little did she know that she had now become the prize in my own hunt. When the moon was at it's highest, I pulled her into the shadows. The pounding of her beating heart was deafening yet so alluring as it quickened. Having her pinned against the wall, I leaned in close, and with a soft voice I whispered "fear not my child, for I shall rid you of your burden of time". I felt the warmth of life as I pressed my lips against her neck. My fangs pierced her delicate skin with such easy. I drank the warm, crimson fluid as it flowed freely, revitalising my cold body from the inside out. I continued to feed upon her mortal essence till just before the last beat of her heart. It was a clean kill, not a drop was spilt. I took the heart shaped parcel that the girl had in her possession then fled the scene. Upon arriving home, I covered my blood stained lips with a mask then opened the parcel revealing a cute pink and black lingerie set, which of corse I tried on. Who says a Vamp can't wear pink!?!

You turn into a KILEER BEE and sting them in the ass!

I love this dress. I've had it for a while, and recently went back to the store I bought it from to see if it was still kicking. You just never know who will still be here, and who have gone on to other adventures in life.

I am happy to say that Pizel Passion still has the dress, and is still here. It comes in a bunch of colours, including this Orangey Yellow.

As for the rest of it? you can't haz any, it's all stuffs not out yet or was limited offers, by various designers! It really was all about the dress guys!

What could this be? I wondered.

Then I started to read.

Hello Schismphreaks,

Today, November 13th, has been declared "To Write Love On Her Arms" day. A day to write love, or any other message of humanity on your arms, or any other part of your body in support and awareness to stop self harm, and suicide.

To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA) is a movement that started with one person watching another person destroy themselves slowly, and having the guts and the compassion to step in. The girl who inspired the movement is still alive today, thanks to that one person.

You may be asking, why does this matter? This is SL. It matters, because there are people behind these avatars. No matter how many alts you have for whatever purpose, YOU are behind them.

I've been wanting to do something in SL with the TWLOHA movement for a while, but didnt know where to start. Yesterday, while reading some of my favorite blogs (Fab Free, Free*Style) I saw something that truly moved me.

On Free*Style I read the words of my friend Sileny, saying how glad she was that Pididdle was doing something to support and show awareness to this day and movement.

On Fab Free, I read the words of Whisper Swansong, and it echoed a "coming out" of sorts, talking about her experience with Self Harm, and suicide. Reading the comments of the readers, and everyone sort of doing the same in turn, did more than make me smile. It motivated me.

So, at the store you will find an ad on the wall, in the tattoo section. It's a completely free tattoo, simply "Love" in my favorite font, with some stars around it. Why stars? I've noticed every single T-shirt TWLOHA has ever made includes stars in the design.

Inside the folder you receive, you will get the tattoo (which is on both arms, because of SL...), and a notecard telling MY story, and why I stopped everything last night and made these tattoos.

<3 With Love, Evangeline Schism" This was just one notecard in the package, the other was much more personal. I'd put it here too, but I want to tell my own story. I'll be having her info and Gift, a lovely tattoo set, which I am wearing in these pictures, at my store inworld, or you can go to her store, and get it straight from the source. I sadly had heard nothing about this, until today, just minutes ago, so I have nothing to give you myself, to spread the word, other then my own stories.

I'm 26 years old. I have lived thru many things, like many other people in the world. Someday I might tell my whole story. This is just one part of many I could tell you.

I was given a sense of duty by my adoptive mother, to join into the canadian armed forces. Much of her family did their duty to our country, if only for a little while. I joined army cadets at the young age of 11, tho they normally don't take on cadets till they are 12. I learned many things, and was part of a great corps.

Now being female and in something like this, I was one of 4 girls out of a corps of 250 souls. Cadets really isn't much different then being in the actual army. You'd think it would be, cause we are just kids right? there were certain things we were not permitted to do. I couldn't drive the tanks till I was 16. *Big unhappy face*

Well over the years, we gained a few more girls. We tended to be a very close group, even taking time out of cadets to do random girl stuff. On the days we trained, which was 2 times a week and every other weekend, we had to be hardened little warriors, often working 4 times as hard as the males, just to prove we were their equals and in all cases their betters. We climbed ranks very fast.

As we grew into teens we each started to gain more personality. Some of the girls started to show signs of preferring the same sex for their personal pleasures. This never bothered me, even when doing camping exercises. We may all be thrown in one tent, but these were my friends, I grew up with these people, knew all their secrets.

The army isn't some guys fantasy where we are all gay and have crazy girl orgies after getting off the battlefield.

The guys did start to notice how some of the girls were. Guys being guys, they think themselves very attractive and all women must love them even army brats. Rejection isn't handled well, specially when they are tough army dudes.

Many of us went into the militia upon turning 17. 7 of us girls got thru our boot camp together.

It's amazing how things spread, between bases, how simple comments turn into big huge ordeals.

At 18 I already had my own troop. I was always defending my girls. It got tiring. Most of the girls started getting depressed, constantly badgered about their choice of sexual partners. The funniest thing is, they never dated anyone in the army. When you work all day, training to be a warrior, why would you go home to a warrior? you want someone soft and loving, not achy and exhausted from the days exercises.

My friend Larson was the first to go. She hung herself on a tree behind our barracks during a training exercise trip. My friend Terra followed a year later, having been raped by a man and not being able to deal with the fact that she was a woman, and she could still do nothing to protect herself, even after all her training. She left in a sea of red waters. I lost 1 other women from my troop, due to a training exercise gone wrong, where she ended up being sexually harassed. Even after the men had gone to jail, she just could not deal with what had happened and shot herself in the head with her army issued sidearm.

While I was in the Militia, there were 9 cases of suicide in my corps.

Now this is just a story of that aspect of my life. I have been touched by others this way, thru school, friends, and even a father of one of my friends, who just could not go on.

My own girlfriend of 13 years, had almost given up on life, just a few years ago. She is the one story that turned out right.

I don't want people to lose hope because of this story. I want people to see the errors we sometimes make, that influence these people's decisions.

Love, acceptance, adoration, a sense of duty. These are all things we want in life. When one of those things is battered on by someone, specially someone you look up to, it can make things seem not worth it.

Some people can go beyond, and just keep living. I don't know how many times I've heard "oh it's the cowards way out, they wanted attention, they didn't deserve to live if they couldn't deal with such a simple thing".

Things effect people in different ways. You can't know what you'd feel like until you place yourself in their position. Have you ever been raped? Has someone ever stripped you down to nothing and made you run back to base in no clothing? Have you ever been called a Clitwhore, just because you like the company of women more then men?

It's time to stop being so silly to others of your race. Fuck, there is enough women to keep the world going, who cares if some of them like other women?

It's time to talk, and time to listen.

So I'm not dying, yet.

I've been in a mod of dark dark skins lately. House of Ruin had these out for gifts in my annual Halloween hunt. I'm sure you'll be able to buy them at some point. This colour was just dreamy.

I totally missed all the halloween awesomeness this year, due to my sickness. So I said fuck it, I'm not going to get into xmas, I'm doing halloween all the way into the new year. That should make up for missing a few weeks eh? So here is my wonderful wormy goodie from Sanu.

Deviance is the best place to get your year round costume needs. Here I'm wearing the newest creation to the line, this wonderful Witchy outfit. Surreal sent this over to me, and I'm normally online to say thanks, but I suck and was sick, so I figured I'd blog it to make up for not gushing all over her feet. Oh and the darling knows I love green and sends me green all the time. Got to love that! I just happened to have the perfect green shade in my new colour collection to match, so I threw on Manes of Glory to spike my look out.

The best part about Deviance is the quality. It is awesome zoomed right in, and you get so many options. Baiscally every layer possible in every piece. Also Surreal happens to be almost the same size as me, so I really don't have to resize much, it's bliss.

I'd hardly be me nowadays without my House of Ruin eyes. These were also in said hunt. I had to wear them cause they had Witch in the title. No other reason, hehe.

Now I wouldn't be Helena if I dind't have something on for free. These boots were a group gift from Maitreya.

This next outfit I wore to Ruina's Store anniversary party. I was going to go as a scarey pink poof dust bunnah type thing, but then I was like oooo Bloodrayne. She is the hottest Game Character ever. MMMMMM.

I took these shots at Groll's Inn. There is alot of different areas to play in, and most everything you come apon is buyale, but luckily isn't plastered with signage.

So, I've been working my butt off trying to finish up a new release, and it's coming along nicely. But sometimes I just have to take a break. And a new release from one of my favorite designers came along and gave me the excuse I needed. :D

My boots, let me show you them!

These gorgeous things are by Erpla Prieto, the creator behind Periquita Shoes. I've loved her shoes forever, but there is a special place in my heart for BOOTS and these are the first full boots she made. I love them! They come with a nifty HUD that lets you change allll sorts of textures - the trim, the sole, the main shoe ... there's even these really adorable little bows on the toes that you can have show in a bunch of different colors ... or not! I picked colors to match the dress, but there's a whole bunch others, all pretty. But don't take my word for it - take this TAXI and go check out her demos for yourself.

I'm ALSO wearing the awesomest socks ever, "Stripey Socks" by Paisley Mizin of Sock Shop. You see, I LOVE socks, both real life and SL. So when I found Paisley's shop I kinda freaked out and bought most of them. And there's a LOT of them. They're all funky and colorful and full of win, so go check em out! At 30L a pop, I think you can afford some new socks!

Moving up ...

This dress kicks ass and takes names, and miss Stringer made it. AND it's FREE - it's the Stringer Mausoleum's Macabre Hunt gift! Hurry and go pick it up, though - the hunt ends on the 6th of October!

I'm also wearing one of the fabulous skins by one of my good friends, Evangeline Schism of SchismPhrenic.

She makes some of the best Eloh Elliot and Sezmra mods on the grid, in my opinion. You know, it's actually kind of hard to find well done skins, mods or not, that aren't just "normal" (and, frankly, kind of bland in the makeup department). Although this one I've got on, "The Devil Wears Python", is one of her more tame ones, she's got plenty more at her store that are a bit more funky :)

I'm also wearing one of my own Plasmid eyes "Honey" - it's still available at my shop FOR FREE with a couple other Plasmid eyes (there's a whole other pack of them in my SL group too). I'm pretty happy with them ... enough so that I may even make a whole line from them, so keep your eyes peeled for that sometime down the line. :)

And last, but never ever least - my favoritest hair of all time -

"Ruina v.1" ... yes, you read that right - it's named after me, so neener neener ;P. It's actually the hair style of a character of mine, and I found that I couldn't find anything like it on the grid. So I had a pow-wow with Helena and she used her magic and whipped up this beauty. It was love at first sight for me - chances are good if you run into me, I'll be wearing it. You know you want it too - go pick it up here :)

Ivalde/L'Abel part 2

It tells you the tale of my first metting Nef, and what she has done for me over the last year.

Story 2

Ivalde-Where it all began

This is my oldest Ivalde outfit, and my very First I had ever bought. It wasn't much, I remember, I think it was something like L$10. I rezzed inworld Jan. 25th, 2007. I didn't find Ivalde until December of 2007. That was like a whole year! I was a noob looking avi for most of that year too. I had just opened my little 35 prim shop, in Nov. of 2007. Just weeks before finding Nef's store. Cherelle(my RL sis), had told me about Ivalde, and then we found out about the Advent. Couldn't be a better way to get me out of noobdom.

There was many store ads I did with the advent dresses. I didn't have a pro account, so my I basically had some of the L$300 my sis had given me. I had to stretch that shit, so Ivalde was a godsend.

Bonnie is of course the thing I bought up. It had Skulls! What could a girl like me do? It even came with Prims for the legs of the jeans, so ahead of the times. This was back before sculpties took over the sl world.

These next few dresses are the newest in my collection. I had to show one of L'Abel's opening gifts, this dress below. I freaked when I saw it. So one of my RL favvy colours I wear!

The story behind the next dress is funny. Nef knew my sis before me, and they sometimes have chats about this and that, normally a love of design, mainly my sister's furniture designs, which tend to be done in a period Nef enjoys. Nef knew my sis was bummed that as a Furniture Designer in SL she doesn't get as much perks as I might. I'd get this or that from one designer or another, and all she'd get would be people wanting her textures.

Nef had always been good, to send Cherelle this new dress or that one. Cher has the type of avi that works so well with Nef's works.

So Nef sends me these dresses. Tells me to throw them on. And parade around in front of Cher. So Cher starts whining. Nef proceeds to send Cher the dresses, stating that we were just playing with her, Hehe, Nef does have a devious side from time to time, you can tell from her lip ring collection.

This dress comes with a Belt that colourchanges a wack of different ways.

L'Abel-Mya-Berry

One day Beulah, one of Nef's top models, Im's me, saying Nef was going to send me something, wanted to make sure I was online. I was like ermmm ya I'm here. While thinking in my head, oh no, what are they up to.

I get this lovely dress. The explanation for the James Bond IM? They wanted to see what I could come up with for modeling this thing. I totally Demoned it out with tongue, horns and everything!

Who do you see standing before you? A young, gorgeous pale skined beauty, innocent and sweet, just out for a day of fun in the sun. Sorry but this sexy little vixen is far from it I'm afraid.

Please don't be fooled by these pics...Yes! she is pretty as she runs her fingers through her beautiful long blonde hair, soaking up the rays of sun with the warm soft sand beneath her toes. But what you can't see is the .40 caliber pistol with silencer that she holds in the palm of her hand that she just pulled from her beach bag.

Pretty face, cold stare and an emotionless heart, perfect for a Stringer Assasin.
This little beach babe has been given orders to assasinate... Sorry but I can not disclose the name of the target but I can tell you that it is a Linden and that he is snorkling alone just off shore. Eyes locked on to her target, she walks down to the waters edge. It is advised that you please look away now!

Without even batting an eyelid, the job is done!
Linden's body is well hidden, wedged in under a rock ledge...away from the view of local surfers.

I arrived at the Death Bar with my mohawk preened to the max, sleek and shiny. Now I'm rough and ready to thrash it out to a little Sex pistols and The Clash.

Rockin out to the tunes, jumpin, flippin, crashin into people...I've worked up a thirst, time for cold beer.

As I headed over to the bar I'd thought I'd check out the venues art when suddenly a large, heavy hand grabbed me on the shoulder. I then heard "Hey, Bitch, fetch me a beer!". I...Pfft...as I pushed his huge claw from my shoulder, rolled my eyes and I laughed off his demand. Displeased with my response and failure to fetch, the big ugly bugger picked me up with one hand and tossed me across the room with absolutely no effort at all. Crashing through a solid wood table, everything suddenly went black...

I must have hit my head bloody hard because when I came to, I swear that everyone in the venue seemed to look just like me. The floor shook as he stomped across the room. He picked me up by my mohawk and threw me again. I rolled as I landed and quickly jumped to my feet. Enough was enough, this bloke needed to be taken down.
"Hey arsehole, come and get me, you ugly mother fu..." I taunted as I threw a beer bottle at his enormous head. The bottle smashed against his huge forehead and his face turned red in anger. I had one chance and one chance only, the guy was big so I have to take him out quick and fast. If he gets hold of me again, he'll rip my head clean off with his bare hands.

Enraged and very angry, he pulled a large knife from his belt and charged like a Brahma bull from the other side of the room. Steam literally bellowing from his ears. Just as he was about to knock me flying, I leaped into the air drawing a dagger from its sheath. The 4" blade seemed to glide effortlessly as it sliced straight through his throat. His red face turned pale in an instant, glassy eyed and suddenly silent. All you could hear was the trickling of his blood as it pooled on the cold hard ground. A massive thud shook the bar as his body came to rest on the floor. I swirled my finger around in the pool of blood as I ponded "That's a lot of blood, what a waste". It's sweet stench taunted my inner demon, the vampire within me was burning to come out.

With fangs now visible to the on lookers, I had to flee. I swiped a nearby bike but Damn! no keys. Shelby is lookin pretty sweet in the background. I must admit, I have a soft spot for mustangs. The sound of sirens approach from the east. Escape on foot it is then.

The Jacks were soon to arrive. With guns drawn they search the bar and surrounding buildings for the cold blooded killer. While they were busy, I slashed their tyres and trash the van to aide in my escape.

After fleeing the scene and finding comfort in the night, I stopped for a minute and lit up a cigarette. It's dark and cold, I stink of stale blood and I have a throbbing head ache. It's been a rough night. I need a six pack, a hot bath and someone to sink my teeth into...

History Repeats.

What an interesting title. This was the name of the event that was held last week at Rezzable's Kings Rezzable Sim. Winter Jefferson was our wonderful host/organizer for this event.

The theme was dressing up as your favorite Historical Character. I really couldn't decided on anything, and wasn't staying for long, so this is what I threw on.

I got this set of Dresses, called Bonbon, at PixelDolls, knowing full well that one day, I would get a chance to wear them. There is 8 colours to the set. This was my favorite colour combo, and as all good girls do, I have perfectly matching hair!

It all seemed very mardi gras after I had it all going, but I was cool with that. The hair was actually made for Rezzable, for a past fashion event. The feel of it so went with the look I was trying to achieve.

This skin is from a up and coming designer. Daarc does not have these for purchase just yet, but I look forward to what other goodies she will have for us. The lips on these make me imagine all sorts of late, LATE nights. There are also so many yummy colours for the makeups. So far there are 4 tones, catering more to the Elven and Fae.

The eyes are from House of Ruin. I think I'm going to almost be exclusively wearing House of Ruin from now on. You really can't beat the quality for the price. SOOOOO many colours. That really is a big thing for me, since I might have everyday favorites, but am changing so often for shoots, that I can't afford to stick to a set regiment regular eye colours.

The dress seemed to walk right out from a painting.

I couldn't help but feel a bit regal in this. Though the event has past, history still repeats. Thus I share!

Lucky in Fleur

A few weeks ago Fleur came out with some new spring makeups for the Shoujo line they have. Though they are more girly then my normal taste, I do so love the slight japanese feel. Plus there are ways to spice anything up.

I went, bought, and put on. THEN . . . I ended up tp'd to some lucky chairs and won the whole lot! There was like 6 chairs!

The Dress is one of the lucky chair gifts from Discord. There are a few different colours, but today seemed like an orange day.

I threw on one of my more Japanese inspired hairs, which is actually a dollarbie in the store. The really rad thing? you get it in all 114 colours and it comes with attachments that I'm not wearing.

Now these eyes you ask, where do you think I got them? Can you guess?

Haha didn't buy them, but yes they are from House of Ruin. The may end up a hunt gift, or may end up for sale, don't know yet, but I own them and you don't so it's all good! Neener neener!

Recently, I got hit with a huge reality check, the kind that makes you stop in your tracks and think, "What the HELL am I doing?" You see, I started off in this virtual arena making sure for the past year and a half that I kept my SL and RL very separate. At the beginning, I would easily tell people that it was none of their business and move on, I simply didn't mix the two. Easy, right? Sure, it is, if you live under a rock and don't form any sort of friendships.
I've noticed that my guard has gone down considerably over that last few months and I'm not sure what I can attribute this to. Maybe it's just the overall feeling of comfort that I get when I'm with my friends and we are joking around and once in a while things about RL start to slip out. These are by no means earth shattering revelations, but, little things that, in the past, I would never share.
Plurk...then there's this thing called Plurk...for those of you who don't have a clue as to what I am referring to...look it up. Go through my site, and you will be there...in plurkville, it's a way to stay connected at all times. The pitfall for me, is that if I'm having any sort of emotional rumbling, I just jot it down on plurk, send it out into virual space, and feel better, don't think about it anymore and so be it. The problem? People are paying attention. I've now set my account to private, which means that I control who sees my plurks, but with 330+ "friends" who I have on my account...well, here's my point:
Do you ever sit back and really think about "who" you are sharing information with? Do it, just for a second think about this in a realistic way...who is that other person sitting across from their screen. YOU HAVE NO IDEA. Yes, we can share and share, but the bottom line is YOU really don't know. Sometimes we hardly know the person we are living with, why are we so trusting of those in our virtual lives?
I've realized that I've been naive about so many things. And, don't get me wrong, I do love my friends and I truly mean that. We laugh, we joke, we don't take things too seriously (unless we are ragging, then watch out and let us be all emo,)...but we enjoy each other's company.
Just be warned, you never know who is watching, you never know who is paying attention, and even sharing the LITTLEST piece of you could open you up to sharing more than you wanted.

The strange things you find in the desert ...

Deep in the desert, while the sun is high and you're not really sure if you're delirious from the heat, you come across a creature at once familiar and strange. Is it a person? Is it an animal? And ... is that a HORN on it's head? The creature sees you, turning it's mysterious stare upon you, almost as if it were passing a judgment on you. Its gaze makes you uncomfortable and you want to shoo it away, but you find yourself strangely immobilized.

"You. You are trapped in a world of make believe." It says, its voice cool and matter-of-fact.

"I'd think so. Why else would I be seeing you?" You manage to muster, thinking yourself somewhat clever.

"No. You do not understand. THIS, this is real. Your world of jobs, and houses, and money, and wristwatches - that is the world of make believe. You pretend those things are real and important. But they are not."

You are dumbfounded. Of course that can't be true ... Can it?

"Wha ... what does that even mean?" You manage to stammer.

The creature's eyes turn kind and it graces you with a smile that fills your soul with warmth, light, and ease.

"It means, learn to hear what your heart says, for it speaks truth." And with that, it dashes off into the redstone landscape, vanishing in the heatwaves.

Devastation Down Under

I live in Victoria, Australia and I am finding it very hard to write this post, but it bloody well needs to be done.

Saturday 7th February, a firestorm began and ripped through the Victoria, destroying everything in its path, many fires still burn out of control today.

Many lives were lost, many are still missing. Homes gone, towns destroyed, only the ashes remain. The devastation of these fires are horrific, the worst in Australian history.

*reaches for a tissue*

Those that survived these fires have a long journey ahead of them to restart and rebuild their lives. And that’s where the Australian Red Cross comes in. The Red Cross have established a Victorian Bushfire Relief Fund to help these survivors.

Autumn Hykova of Pixel Dust & Dakota Buck of Savvy? have started a charity avatar named Victoria Farshore. All the money collected will be passed on to the Red Cross. I have been told that you are allowed to choose where the money goes specifically, so that’s what the Autumn and Dakota are doing, designating it to the Bushfire Relief Fund. Many inworld creators have jumped on board to help with this fundraiser. They have donated their time and their creations to help the Australian Red Cross Click Here to see a lists of creators and stores that are involved in this mighty fundraiser (list is updated daily). I personally wish to thank each and every one of them from the bottom of my heart for their time, effort and dedication they have put towards this cause.

This picture of Sam the koala and volunteer firefighter, David Tree, is a well recognized image around the world. It is a heart warming image of hope that was much needed during all the despair. 1000’s of pets, wildlife and farm animals were lost in these fires. Sam is currently one of 22 koalas, 14 ringtail possums, several wallabies and eastern grey kangaroos that have been handed into Gippsland wildlife carers.

I have been deeply affected by these current events and have shed many tears.

Though sadly the threat is far from over, some fires still burn out of control and many homes and lives are still under threat. Firefighters continually work around the clock to contain these fires. We have been partially lucky that the weather has cooled off during the week but that is soon to end. Temperatures are soon to rise again and the threat of more fires scares the hell out me. I live in a high fire danger area but have been lucky with last Saturday’s disaster that my area currently remains unaffected but I know, understand and fear that that can change in an instant. A box of photos lie in wait by the front door, I hope and pray that they only gather dust. Damn it…I’m out of tissues…I’ll brb…

Enough being sad and speaking from the heart crap. Now get your arses over to some of these amazing stores and purchase something to help those that have nothing. It is gonna be a bloody good night with lots of gorgeous dates up for grabs, including Winter himself. Some big names will be auctioned off so come along and have some fun and perv at all the hotties. A list of some of the participants can be found on In Cold Blood. All money raised on the night will go to Victorian Bushfire Relief Fund.
I found comfort in the surrounds of a place called Creamshop, it was nice to just sit...alone...in the rain, hearing nothing but the pitter patter of rain drops as they hit the ground all around me. If only I could take this rain with me into RL.

I am not a religious but I have prayed for rain to help those involved in the fight to contain these fires, most of which are volunteers…unsung heroes.

First of all, sorry for no posts recently, we here on the good ship SSStringer have all been working our little buns off! We each have been dipping our hands into the bushfire project going on all over sl to help with the Australians efforts to help those in need. Some of us have stores, some of us work for big companies, some of us have been busy shaking our sl booties all over town!

I'll try to get this back to a regular pace soon. Even if I just do little posts, little quickies for you, you all like quickies right?

So I have been in this outfit for a few days(when I design I tend not to change everyday, like I would otherwise). I thought I'd share it, cause I love it so!

I NEEDED these horns, they are all insecty and demony, what better combo! I couldn't get the chains alpha'd right, so sorry about that, you'll just have to go see them yourself or stalk me!

Being a demon doesn't always mean you have to scare people. I like to look fairly normal to my prey as much as possible. It's way easier to feed that way, I am also lazy, and only like to massacre once a week, and am not the type to collect souls.

So I did a 2 tone retro type dealie. I even got myself a new ao to reflect my fun flirty image. XP

These boots, I moded them, they were black, and I just fucked with the texture a bit and tinted them. These things are all over. I have seen them at all different prices, I got these for free from a raffle ball somewhere. Anyways, even if your grandma seems to have them, if you find a mod version, you could have fun, and they ain't too bad. I have a pair in rl, just like these, but studded.

HAHAHA!

Same Damn Thing . . . AGAIN!

I might have missed the day by about 20minutes my time, but I was really inspired by all the posts.

I took up Achariya's Blogger Challenge. After reading the repost, with all the different bloggers participating, I knew this was right up my ally.

What if we all wore the same damn thing?

SL is my place to imagine. That doesn't always mean being original in everything. What it does mean is doing ordinary things in a different way. Your way, who ever you may be.

I'm not a blogger by any means, well not a fashion blogger at least. Or I don't see myself as one. And by the notes and emails, others think the same. They say I and others pass things like this blog off as a way to advertise, and that I'm just "Pretending" to be cool. Well the whole aim for this blog was for my models, friends and I to show how we wear my products. Seeing as I only ever were my own hair, my models are paid to wear my products, and my friends like my shit, it made sense.

I do wear items that may come from a certain store in every post. Not the same item, but same store. I may even be friends with that person. There is no shame to show love for something, or be proud of a fellow designer.

Most days I could care less if I see someone wearing what I'm wearing. If anything it means that item that some designer lovingly built, textured, made is something that was enjoyable en mass. We would not be designers otherwise. Cherelle and I go shopping together some days, or send each other to places, so I know more then one person has what I got, and I can tell that too with people buying my products. If this wasn't the way of sl, there wouldn't be those nifty boxes in edit mode that say copy/contents or original. Everything would be set to original. But there would be alot of unhappy peeps, and insomniac designers.

The way we use a piece tells a bit about ourselves, it's like the body language in rl. We can't really count ao's in the same respect, so how people dress and carry themselves, and in conversation and deeds will tell you more about who they really are. This applies event to Roleplay. When I use to RP before I was a designer, I still acted like me, I just happen to wear tentacles and hooves, while my home is in space. I realize this does not apply to all. Some try and run and hide, but you still can get a snippet here or there thru the way they project themselves.

We all make mistakes, we all are human behind these screens. We need, want, wish and hope.

So I wear the same damn thing as everyone else, but I do it as plain old me. Who gives a fuck what others think?

I was born in 1757 and orphaned shortly thereafter, both of my parents having died from the pox. Brought to Versailles as a chambermaid, I was trained in the arts of service and etiquette, to tend to the needs of the future Dauphine. The King, Louis XV, took delights with me and often favored me to treats and special extensions that he forwent his own born. He remarked that I possessed a certain "Je ne sais quoi" that enraptured him, and assuredly one day I would hold captive the hearts of all who came into the folds of my beauty.

But in all my years surrounded by Courtiers and dashing your suitors, there was only heart I coveted, that of his son, Louis-Auguste. Through all the lavish celebrations in the Hall of Mirrors, the entreaties to dance from foreign Princes, the ever-flowing champagne and promises of finery from the Orient, I was still enraptured with Louis.

Louis and I used to chase each other around the Orangery in secret, stealing kisses from one another, and professing to love each other until our deaths. It was upon the eve of his father's death that Louis-Auguste ravaged me completely in those Orangery groves, all the while those annoying peacocks milled about. He swore in the moment of his release that I would forever be his Queen, not in title of course, but in his heart.

When that Austrian whore, Maria Antonia arrived in France to marry the Dauphin, I along with all the residents of Versailles immediately noticed the striking resemblance between us. The Courtiers swore I was the more remarkable, with my fiery eyes so blue that the Gods felt envy their skies were not as beautiful.

I was quickly ushered away under the cover of night at the Dauphine's orders, hoping that the King would soon forget me. I was married to a certain Compte du Ravissante. Thus I, Countess du Ravissante was born. My Louis married the whore when we were still but young adults, but never forgot his passion for me. Upon his coronation as King his first official act was to claim me as his official mistress. Thus, I became Madame du Ravissante, Official Royal Mistress to the King - no longer a mere chambermaid in service to the court. Now I was free to wander the corridors and passageways of the Palace of Versailles as I sought fit and to service only one member of the royal family, the King himself.

Maria Antonia, Marie Antoinette, as we French called her, was stricken with grief for many years as her womb refused to perform its only duty - to bear my beloved Louis an heir to the throne to France. Had only I been Queen, I would have born him ten sons in that time, in fact Louis and I did indeed bare three children of our own, but in secret. He tolerated the Queen only because of their marriage, but it was my body that he adored, that he worshipped, that he lived for. He likened her bed to that of a coffin, so cold and seemingly like death, that after reluctantly depositing his seed in her, he came running to our bed to remove all traces of her upon his flesh.

She found her only joys in parties and in fashion. The high fluffy powdered coiffures, 'Louis' high-heeled mules, jeweled encrusted necklaces, and tight fitting bodices so as to fluff out the bosom, those were devices I had been using to intrigue the King for years. And that whole affair with the necklace, which would ultimately be her undoing, was a gift from the King to me.

She deserved her fate, I say. All her parading around in opulence acting as though she had started the trends of the day when it was I who influenced the fashions of the times. She often reminded me of those annoying peacocks in the Orangery whom often disturbed Louis and I as we made love among the fountains and fruits.

It was no remorse of mine when the mobs stormed the Palace looking to carry her head off on a stake. How dare she order them to eat cake when they were starving. Actually, she never said that - it was I who spread the rumor, for cheap laughs, while she stammered and flustered about at the insinuations of her treason toward the French people. But you know how gossip spreads like wildfire with bored nobles in court and starving mobs in the streets. They beheaded her soon after, but not before the soldiers ripped my beloved Louis from my very arms while we were embraced. I ran down the stairs as they carried him off all the while trying to use my feminine ploys to gain his release. My efforts in vain, my Louis was stripped of his title and his head. Even as "Citizen Louis Capet", I loved him no less than I did when he was King Louis XVI.

I cried endless tears on the day he parted from this world, my eyes as red as the blood which flowed from his severed head after the guillotine's fatal blow. I dipped my handkerchief into his blood and mixed it with some of my own in remembrance of our love. I have carried this bloodied handkerchief on my person ever since, and in fact did wave it tauntingly in Marie-Antoinette's face before her beheading many months following his. But no tears did I shed for that whore, La Putain, Notre ReineChienne, Marie Antoinette.

Even now, in my old age, as I sit by the fire in my tiny salon by the Seine and gaze out the window across to the Place de La Concorde, I can still hear the cheers of the angry mobs as they ended the tyranny of the Nobility and laid her head to tumble through the streets of Paris. Having retired my services as Official Mistress to the King, I became a constant companion to a wealthy hero of the French Revolution and now spend my days in repose and reflection.

Until the day of my death, Louis-Auguste, King Louis XVI, Le Roi de France, Citizen Louis Capet will rest in my heart as my one true love and I, Sophie-Helene, Chambermaid to the Queen, Madame du Ravissante, Official Royal Mistress, and Seule Amour of the King, will remain ever faithful to our vows made those days long ago, in the Orangery of the Palace of Versailles.

I got hungry one day. Needed to go out and Hunt. What better event, then a item hunt, at a super cute sim. Lots of tasty morsels for me to look apon. I chose to wear something to not frighten the poor little creatures that were flitting out and about. This was my camo for the day.

I was able to find enough of one colour in my stash to make the look work. This Cupcakes top has the best pattern, matches my hair, and I was latter able to get it working with my leggings. The hair isn't out yet, so this is a bit of a teaser, but i did say I'd be doing that a bit, hehe.

I sercretly love bunnies. SHHHHHHH don't tell! These ones are great, and I love the . . . errrr . . . carrots. To go with the theme, I busted out some bunnie parts, tho my tail was missing, not enough attachement spots! =(

So the whole look pulled together, and I was able to catch and eat enough people . . . ummm . . . Carrots! Yes Carrots!

How cool, and sexy is this hair, huh? Double Duster in Black tipped from the Blacks pack is unisex, so it looks fantastic on everyone. Ladies, did you read that? I said everyone! Break free from the norm, live a little in your secondlife, head to The Stringer Mausoleum and try out a mohawk, you will be pleasantly surprised. Girls in hawks are hot! Oh and the guys are damn hot too! Sword is from Ancient Knights Armory. This outfit looks rather cheeky from behind...my arse looks quite cute from this angle...hehe. 'Studded Armor Lady' has gorgeous textures and highly detailed sculpted prims for the armor.

This is a very nice skin from Regrave, well detailed and is very pretty but is not good for a girl like me. You see, I'm a sucker for a damn good mohawk and I have fallen head over heels in love with Helena Stringer and her hawks. Unfortunately, this skin has a very visible join line that runs all the way around the face and is very noticeable when wearing mohawks.

Yes, I still post. Yes, it has been way too long. But, I've made a resolution to be more committed. :) Get ready for some major creative stuffs! LOL I'm completely setting myself up for disaster here!
So...winter...it's been cold, it's been nasty, but even with the troublesome weather, it has had its moments of beauty. For those of you who live in wintersome states, you understand the peace and magic of a fresh new snowfall. Those of you who don't, you need to experience it. There is a certain stillness in the air, a quiet that descends with every snowflake, and if it is a night snowfall, you can almost hear the snowflakes as they hit the earth. There really is nothing more beautiful about winter than the unique glitter that sits in your soul when you are in its presence. And the bitter cold? That comes and goes, but that's what friends are for...to cuddle with by the light of a fire, to share hot chocolate with (dont' forget the marshmallows), and to be there to get through it...together :) It can be the harshest time of winter, but when you look past it, it can really be the most glorious.

My Darling Bride

I had just lost the love of my life, my darling bride, my elixir of spiritus sanctus and crooked proclivities to the fates. All I could do to keep from going insane was to sleep the sleep of no-awakening, as though in a coma I would lay in my vegetative state under the haze of slumber pills, hoping she would come to me in my dreams. And she did. Usually, she was cloaked in white with doves flying above her. But not on this night.

She was spectre-like from a bright orbish light, and sheathed in black. I could her the ruffle ruffle of her petticoats underneath her Lolita frock. Her velvet gloved hands beckoning to me. It wasn't the sirenesque melodies that I was accustomed to, my beloved had such a beautiful singing voice. No, this was more of a screeching cackling with a gurgle of sorts from deep within her throat. And I could smell decay all around me as she came closer still.

Her dance was snake-like, almost as though her body were only of fluid. It reminded me of those tribal fusion dancers we had seen together when we visited the Moravian coasts. She still held a power over me, even though something deep inside me told me to keep my arm's length.

With each rippling of her torso, she slithered closer still. Throwing her head back in reckless abandon, licking her lips, and smiling ever so sinisterly. I always loved the way her neck blushed when I looked upon her with my wanton eyes. And yet, it was not her neck that intrigued me. It was the incessant hissing that belabored my ears. It was then that I noticed the snakes, curling around her reddened locks. Slithering and rippling this way and that, and keeping their vigilant beady eyes upon me.

As paralyzed as I was by my fears, I could not resist her. The only love of my life, the woman who swore she would stay with me forever. She came back for me. As she approached my bed, I knew I would not, no matter how damned I would be, say no to her requests. Her skin, so white and piercing bright still glistened in the night. It took on almost a glow.

The clickety-clack of her stiletto heels upon the floor, grated upon my spine like metal ice picks. She never wore such mules in all the years we were together. She said it pained her arches. Yet here she was, floating so gracefully upon them now as though she wore born in them. Black they were, like the trails of tears that ran down her face. "Look into my eyes, my love," she hissed to me. Everything in my being was screaming for me to look away, but how could I not gaze into the beautiful eyes of my beloved? So slowly, ever so slowly, I raised my eyes to hers and in that moment I knew this was not my darling bride, my love...this was something from the depths of hell that had come for me. It was the Medusa!!! If I didn't look away, I would be doomed, never to see my true love ever again....look away! Look a.....

As I keep hinting, but really had yet to show, I'm a demon in sl. Tho I don't role play anymore, I still embrace that part of me. Once you choose your real form, even tho you may play with others, you can't go back to "normal" ever again. Demons are the most fun, at least my race. Being a tentacle space demon, we often have to travel to other places to find our food. For the powers within us, we do not get warm welcomes. This has caused us to evolve the ability to shape shift into the form of our different food source. Hence why I play human designer so well XP. It also means we have this nasty side effect of wanting to ever change. Most times we will seem more of a mash up of different things. I'll show you our true form some day down the road. for now, you get this to chew on. Does it scare you or do something else? hehe

Red is my second most fav colour in sl. I wear it alot. Naturally it goes well with black. OOOOO I'm all special and such, black and red who would have thought?

When deciding to do this post, I wanted to demonize one of the Fleur skins. As ever it's my duty as a fleur insider to show you the "different" side to Fleur. I simply took the new resident skin, and started from there. This skin is no ordinary "freebie" skin, plus the fact that everyone can enjoy it, it's not a scripted vendor where only "under 30 day" people can grab it. The other nice thing is you get all the vivant tones, so you can play around. The demony parts were a xmas gift to myself, for being the bad little demon throughout 2008. It was a challenge to show off this wondrous tat, yet have something covering my bits.

I needed some hair to really pull this together, and I chose one of my mens hairs again. Not much modding needed for this(must have done something right). The spikes are what I wanted, but the length is what I NEEDED!

To set off my mood, the eyes say it all. [][]House of Ruin[][] is the place to get all your demon eyes. They were not really made for that reason specifically, but Ill pimp them that way anyways. The colours of all of them, oh god I love colour! You could buy a few a week and collect them too, they are so reasonably priced. The quality is great, and they were imported at the right texture size so they always rez super fast when changing threw them(for the right shade of course).

The horns and tail aren't part of the hoof set, but I felt I could get away with it, I am a demon of course, try to tell me no! The horns have little smoke poofs that come out of them. The tail is scripted to lash, it is one of the best movement dealies I have ever seen. Other then when your in a region with 80 other people, the scripts have never lagged, so the movements are always so fluid. The detail on these as well at the hooves is something else. I have read the Beauty series by Anne Rice, when she was writing under her pen name, and that's what these hooves remind me of every time. That is a 3 part book set you must own, but don't let the kids get at them till they are older!

The Face piercings I made, back when I was in my sl punk stage. Now they just get randomly worn with whatever. Everyone needs that one good face piercing they can just throw on whenever. I was lucky enough to be able to make what I wanted =)

This wondrous tattoo is by Rezit Sideways of Designs of Darkness. I really did have to try to find something to wear so that I was almost naked. Trust me I normally am clothed, but this tat needed to be seen! She wants [Revenge] was the only place I could thing of that might have something I wanted. Plus I'm just really impressed by Revenge Gears attitude, she fucking swears in her group! Oops! and she is super generous. Also I have this thing with chic that have wicked sl names, right Rezzy?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Fleur is having this lovely contest till the 6th check it out HERE!

As a Fleur Insider, it is part of my duty to show off all things Fleur. This I do with love, even tho you may want to see me in another skin from time to time. I have a few surprises up my sleeves for the next week, so keep a look out.

The basic point to the contest is to wear some shade of the newly re-released Fleur gloves, and show how they could help you bring in the new year. As I am always working, I went with a working gril costume of sorts. I'm also wearing a skin from Fleur. Ya thats right it's Fleur! This is one of the Drow skins they have. There are a few different special kinds of skin here at Fleur, it's not just for those glammed Chics. Of course out of the 3 makeups available per drow one, I had to get the one with the spiders on it. I really should have worn my pets too, but it somehow slipped my mind.

I topped my head with Assassin. Now this is a rather normal hair, that has been getting alot of play. In my defence I'll say that it is great for headpieces. I had another hair I would have worn, but was having alpha conflict with these lashes of mine.

New Years Eve Babe

So I decided to make a skin for a gift for New Years Eve. I did this last year and wanted to remake the old one, then decided to preview another set of skins soon to be out. Man how our minds change. It was going to just be one skin, one makeup. but then it turned into 2 skin tones with 3 makeups each. So I had 2 outfits for the day!

Here I am doubled, oooo too much Helena, is there such a thing? I wanted to wear a hawk, I has steered away from them this holiday season, and have missed them so. I simply modded my Crystaline Hawk which is mansized. Just a bit of tweaking! And for my other look I went for my almost new doo BAM! That's the name I swear it! BAM! The skins are part of my new Deep line. 2 of the tones out of 14.

I'm normally not one for pink, ANYTHING! Maybe lipgloss, but that's where I try to keep the line. Well I fell in love with a little store called Deviance way back when we had a surprise party for Winter Jefferson's RL birthday party held in sl. We had to wear this playboy type bunny outfit from there. So naturally I went there to check the darn thing out and see what a demon could do, dressed up as a bunny. At least there were a bunch of colours! You can view my Demon Bunny HERE! You can't really see my tentacles but I swear they are there.

I decided that the new gowns from Deviance were the thing to wear this New Years Eve. I picked the 2 I thought would go best with my skins. Love all dresses from here. They take no modding at all, it's like my shape was stolen. Copybot anyone?

I thought these outfits deserved to be shown on location. I chose The Tunnel of Light, since it has light bursting all over. Seemed very New Years Eve appropriate.

Fleur Double Trouble!

Being a Fleur Insider has it's fun moments. Okay to tell the truth, so far it's all been fun moments! My job is to wear Fleur items, to tell people about them, and try to make it to the events. How hard is that? I found this week a fun challenge, to show off these new Fleur gloves in MY style.

I sort of ended up with a colour theme, and wouldn't you know, it's my store colours too! I really honestly didn't do that intentionally. So the whole outfit was based off the gloves. I figured I'd put on a Fleur skin as well. The new china line is to die for! And has just the right shade of dead for your afterlife. I searched through my inventory for this and that and made up this outfit. Now I have been bad again. You can buy the skirt, just not in this colour. Sorry, I didn't know it was a limited thing, and when I went back to find out the price, GONE! So you'll have to deal. Now is when I go neeener neeeener, I have it you can't get one! XP

Now it wouldn't be a true post on my style without my wearing a mohawk. I made a new one, but decided to be nice, and not wear it since it isn't out yet. Can't have 2 things you can't grab! So this is Ex'd in Rock Green.

I have an ever changing ever evolving style. Since I do not use models in my ads, just me, I have to have a bit of everything. I mash shit up all the time. I aim to do it well, and most times it works. Katat0nik is such a sweetie, and tho I would not say we are like best buds, we do talk from time to time. She was impressed with my one Fleur Insider shot I did, wearing her boots. So the sweet girl sent me another pair! Here I also wear my Kasum necklace I made to match the Kasum back spikes shown in Belochka Shostakovich HERE. You get the necklace free in the set, I sort of just made it to match, and didn't want to sell it really. The eyes are from Skin Within. They make many realistic eyes, and I tend to like the size of the iris. A lot of eye designers make them so big, it's nice to have a change of pace. To keep things all spicey I threw on my Real Primmed Killer Lashes. Gives just enough extra glam.

I'm wearing a great tat from Designs of Darkness. Rezit Sideways makes the most unique tats I have ever seen in sl so far. As she is a rl artist, you can almost see the paintbrush stokes popping off your skin. If you want to be different, and surprise your little personal fanclub, you need to at least grab one of her many tats. Here you can also see the great gem details on this top. Who needs bling when you got these?

THE GLOVES OH THE GLOVES!

Fleur has had some requests to bring back out the gloves they use to have in the clothing part of the store. When the new sim design was implemented, they still had yet to open the clothing store. Once they did these favs were missing! Oh Noooos! Well after a bit of haggling, they have been put back out. But there is one difference. What you might ask? Whole New Set! I figured to show the skin off, we'd do an on the location type shoot. Fun fun! I didn't make myself wear any swimsuits in winter tho.

The Little Girl in the Asylum

When the paranormal team entered the dilapidated asylum to investigate reports they had received of incessant wailing and strange warbled singing, they found all of the patient cells of the asylum emptied, save one. Inside the darkened and foul-smelling chamber stood a solitary girl, a tiny waifish figure - she was posing this way and that way in her black leather coat. Smiling innocent-like, all the while, in their direction. The girl was cooperative and even a bit of a hostess, offering them tea and crumpets while she pranced about happily overjoyed to receive guests in her magical palace.

Member A of the team was drawn to the girl's eyes, beautiful with their many dimensions of purple and green interlacing together in marriage. He was transfixed for a moment, as if in a daze, and realized he had come under the girl's spell. And so he joined the girl in a spirited dance around the team, offering each one a lump or two of sugar with their tea.

Member B of the team enjoyed watching the girl's spirited frolicking about and admired her knee high buckle boots and purple striped knee socks. If only to have a pair of sturdy and versatile boots such as those and socks full of color to keep her legs warm, it must surely be occasion to dance. And so, Member B laid down her electrical monitoring equipment and began a festive Gaelic jig of her own, minding to keep in step with the girl's rhythm.

Member C of the paranormal investigation team noticed that despite the rugged conditions of the musty cell, that the girl's plumberry and black locks were well coiffed. Curly strands cascading throughout and the way her cute bangs framed her face brought attention to her snowy white skin. Her lips blackened with coal, the girl looked at Member C coquettishly, then more solemn, and whispered, "Join us." And so Member C intrigued at the girl's ways, joined in the dancing and merry making.

Member D had always been the strongest sceptic of the team - the one that would not go so easily into any theory or conclusion without a good fight. Even after their scanners, videos, and recorders had produced undeniable proof of entities not belonging to this world, she would ask for more proof. As Member D stood her ground and approached the girl in order to subdue her, she caught a glint of precious metal and ribbon wrapped lovingly around the girl's tiny neck. Inside the glimmering and glistening of the girl's choker, Member D found all the answers to all of her questions, and finally, was convinced.

It was this scene, of the four members of the paranormal investigative team dancing merriliy around each other in the padded cell smelling of old life and decay, sipping on their imaginary tea and sharing their imaginary crumpets, that the Police Authorities discovered when they received reports of unusual sounds, voices, and movement coming from the century old mental institution. The members of the team reported they had encountered a beautiful young girl who offered them tea and was quite the pleasant hostess. The Police, realized that these were not scientists at all, but rather patients who had escaped the new mental facility down the street and had returned to the old asylum to play. All of the patients were rounded up and escorted back to the new asylum in good time. As the Police Chief was leaving the decaying cell he thought he had caught a glimpse from the corner of his eye the image of a pretty little girl drinking tea and waving goodbye, with a devious glint in her eyes.

I'm not much on the traditional xmas, I will admit. But when i got the notice for this outfit, I had to have it. I have been collecting certain types of doll like garments for a bit, tho I really haven't done much with them. I felt this fit the bill, while still bringing a bit of Ho Ho Ho.

I have been naughty, and there are a few items you wont be able to get, but for the most part, all the main stuff is up for grabs. The outfit is by LVS&Co, and let me say, they really get into any holiday spirit. Almost once a month they have something going on, and many of the stores on the sim participate. They alway make some really rad cheap outfits, and some other random things. They also have greally beautiful reward pick outfits, for both MEN and women.

I decided to wear Assasin, cause I thought it would be cute with the candy cane esars I got from MiaSnow.
The details with the outfit are just too much. Cute little cookie buttons, bows on your stockings, enough frill on the skirt to make any dolie making granny forget about teh length. I chose to wear a group gift from Sanu, this light up nose, it's supose to help me find my way??? The Skin you can't have, it was out last year from Skin Within, and they don't seem to have one this year :( Had to wear it tho, loved the holly on it. My wonderful green eyes are from Treasured Visions, I have a thing for really green eyes, and these go right in that catagory! Now the boots, the boots, this is where I have been naughty again. You can't get these special xmas ones, they were from last year, buuuuuuuut Tesla does have a really nice brocade pair that is the same, just without the little critters and flowers instead. Worth a look, you almost would not be able to tell them apart. So I'm not soooooo naughty XP

Canadiana-Dilly Doll Love!

It's been so busy, and yes my bloogers and I have all been doing other things. As always for the time being, I'll always try to get you out one a week.

Many of you are doing the Peace on Earth hunt. You should be at least, I'm in it! When dryrunning the gauntlet, I found one place that I loved. Called Dilly Dolls, it's a mix of Silent Sarrow and Katat0nik. I normally don't like to do that, place designers in a catagory, but it was so true.

For the hunt item she had a bunch of different dresses, each unique, done up in different nationalities. I am wearing the canadian one(duh).

If you haven't noticed by now, I enjoy the black,red and grey theme(look to first post on this blog!). Feeling sort of cutsie, I threw on Wartime, a hair I made for the Ivlade sim.

Now the boots are one of the many red boots I own. But I don't get to wear these too often, it was nice to dust them off. Simple choker was enough for me, and these wonderful eyes? Got them at House of Ruin-----> fab new eye store. I wear almost always the night versions, cause you often get different ones for the times of day. The night have this lovely black void that I wouldn't be able to live without.

Now I have 3 more Dilly Doll outfits I was going to post, but my pics went wonky, so I'll have to reshoot the rest, but for now I hope this staves off the hunger!

Hitting the Campaign Trail

What is this all about you ask?

Well Winter, our friendly neighborhood guest "blooger" and friend, is in a style throwdown. He campaigned for more votes, and I thought I would help him out!

I had these pics still from a party in October that was at Crimson Shadow. If you haven't guessed, it was a Rocky Horror Picture Show Party. I was not meaning to go as rocky, but somehow thats what it turned into.

I ended up butchering my fav Fleur skin. The only issue was trying to hide my boob shading, so I threw on a corset and added a boa for a bit more coverage, plus it works for the theme of the night.

I spent some time trying to find shoes I could man size. Unique Needs filled the bill! The it was just simply putting on the right stockings, making sure I don't snag them, finding some patties, and some more fishnets, just because!

So if you saw me on the corner . . .

1 Year Anniversary PAAAAAARTAY!

My one year anniversary came up for the store on monday. I had mentioned about 3 weeks ago that I might have a bash, but didn't feel I could pull it off, so didn't plan anything. Well after a bit of coxing from some of thr models and friends, I decided it was abck on. This was monday, the day of my anniversary. So Iended up with 2 days to plan this thing.

Well I managed with help of friends and family, and all my lovely models.

The theme was "Winter Wonder" cause I didn't want people in sweaters or xmas stuff.

Today I'm going to show you my outfit. I sort of stood out amongst all the white beings.

I was the Ghost of Reindeer Roadkill.

I loved this shot, just had to put it in here.

I was at Bare Rose looking for something else, when I saw this gem. I had already had another outfit picked for the party, but so could NOT get this outfit. It has a tonne of stuff with it, 4 different colours, tail, horns, shoulder horns and different clothing layers.

It even has this open front upper layer, which is rather odd for Bare Rose, for tho they make some outfits that fall into the catagories of sexy/dom/cosplay, they try not to go to far, because of the origin of the designers.

I'm wearing my new Insane hair, which sadly wont be for sale till the new year. HEHE I'm a tease!

I also found out this week that I have received the honour of becoming a Fleur Insider. So I thought it fitting to yet again wear fleur as my skin of choice for the event.

The outfit comes with incredible horns and shoulder bits. The have little skulls and other random dangles. I instantly fell in love with the chard look of them. It came with the tail, but alas no hooves. So what could I do? Go on down to Lazy Places and pick up a set of the new boots! There are 4 different kinds out, each with a mythic theme. The satyr ones were perfect, and the red was just right. There are many colours, so you can match to anything I'm sure. They even leave little hoovy marks if you want!

Again I'm wearing my Tippy lashes, but only for the fact that my horns were conflicting with the attachement spot of my others. I still have yet to make them attache nose, mouth and chin.

And the eyes are a daily fav, meaning if I have to just throw something on this is one of the few in that special folder. They are from Unique.

This is a gift out from Ruina, Designer/Creator of House of Ruin. She made these just for me! I have this thing for spiders, and she was making these jewel yes. So she named this amber set after me. Then asked if she could set them out. Don't know how long they will be out for, but it's worth a try to check! You get all 3 in the pack.

Another gift that is out, these were made for me by a former model(B1ackJack Fall), to go with my eyes. He has been generous enough to allow me to use it as a gift whenever I want to. What a nice guy! The glow does cool things depending on the eye you have underneith, so experiment.

A fan made this for the event. I didn't get it till after, and when I put it on, I was like wow, it actually has Happy anniversary on it! Totally cool. Kate McLaglen was the designer of these baies.

I have this special version of Tonic(Allegory Beta tester-never released) out as a gift. Sort of looks like icicles.

And my Bestestest Friend Rezit Sideways gave me this baby, after her and some of her friends joked they were going to toilet paper my antlers. You get to snuggle this little cutie, the only thing that sucks is that the priority number conflicts with most dances, so I was stuck on one dance for the last half of the night! First thing first, I know I said wed. was going to be my budget day. Well sometimes things happen. Me and my boy have been super sick, so alas, I'm a slow poke. So lets just keep it to one a week, whatever day it falls on!

Everyone needs a skin. It is often times one of the hardest things for new people to find in sl. You get stuck with that one set, that has no ear or nose definition. Let alone feet, elbows or knees.

I love collecting my eyes, but my thing after that would have to be skins. I have my everyday ones that people will most likely see me in, then there are all my fun ones. As my sister said yesterday to Katat0nik, as we were being silly in her store, I often change 17 times a day!(that was her number, not mine, hehe). This is often due to product ads, but sometimes for flickr, and now for this blog.

My hopes of becoming a Fleur Insider

When I was first seriously thinking of becoming a designer, my sister said to me, you need a look that can be recognizable to your customers. An everyday sort of thing. She said this simply because I use to change my avi all the time, most times not even human! HEHE, Helena Stringer<----Demon remember?

I fell in love with this one Fleur skin she kindly got for me. At the time the store was Tete A Pied, later turning into Fleur once they bought a sim. The skins fit my custome shape, seeing as I have created it with some of my real life features as base. So I saved my weekly stipend, and every month would buy myself a Fleur skin. You will see them in my ads, and in my flickr pics, though mainly you'll see me in them when doing customer service or shopping(when I do get out of my dungeon).

When shopping for some of the new line of skins, I heard tell of a "Insider" call. They were looking for people to represent the line! I was all up on that! So then I had to make outfits to showcase how I wear my Fleur skins. These are what I will share with you today. The alternate side to Fleur.

I fell in love with the makeup in this set. I bought all 3. This one is called Fleur Allure Ivory Audacious 1. I always wore the Almond skin tone before, but the now don't have it as an option. This is slightly more peachy or rosey to me, but I still manage to make it look pale enough for my tastes. I love the fact that the new line has more playful colours. I felt this was flamy, so I created an outfit to reflect that.

To me Rock=Mohawk.

No other mohawk would do but Double Duster. This colouring is a special very limited edition--->There will only be one sold. I'm not sure when yet, but this hair does come in my 114 other colours(hehe lots of choice).

The Outfit is from SN@TCH. I have a love for all things SN@TCH, been trying not to wear it all on here, but there is no getting around it. You'll get SN@TCHified sooner or later. So sooner it is!

My nifty tights are tintable, comes with light, medium and dark base tones. So you can match these with anything!

I tried to keep with a sort of warm colour theme throughout the outfit, so my eyes couldn't be too flashy. And I topped them off with my Tippy lashes in just basic black.

The Boots are from ETD(I know hex on me for walking into another hair store). Couldn't pass up the sale, bought a tonnes of shoes!

The Earring is from PERTURB/ation, don't get to wear it much, but it just seemd to go so well.

Punk Ballerina

This was the next set of the new skins I just had to have(have all 3 of these as well!) The play of colours is so fun and fresh.

It made me want to be playful, so I dug out Kyphotic. This is from the Blacks tipped pack. The wings I made as well, but am still having issues setting the right, so they aren't out yet.

Another SN@TCH outfit. I'm not wearing the whole thing, but the dress was just perfect for my feeling of fun when starting this shoot. It seems everyone has blogged these tights this week, but honestly, I have had these for over a year. Just wanted a bit more colour going on. I paired them up with these Katat0nik boots I got a while ago. I just kept with my merging theme and wore pink eyes and my Lush lashes with blue tips. For jewelry, I always wear less, so just simple bangles were enough here.

Retro Chique

I decided to go a bit retro with the last, the lips just spoke to me. I loved the eyeshadow on this skin so much. In rl this is how I do my makeup, flashy eyes and pale lips. I've always loved my eyes.

This skin just called to my most favorite retro style I have ever done. Clara Bow just makes the cute. I still wanted to be a bit different, so I wore my Camo colouring from the Rocker pack. It has 3 different colours all mixed in, it's really quite cool.

The outfit and tights are from Ivalde, the leader in all things retro in the sl fashion market. I say this simply because she actually researches and markets from all the different time frames. You can go and quickly find something from the 20's, as the store is set up just right.
I always try to do less is more, play up certain colours, and don't put on a tonne of attachements. There really is no need.

These boots I found during a ghost hunt at halloween time. I wanted them badly, and they had a great price point for the quality. I always try to get different types of colours, I'm a colour freak. I matched my eyes to the boots, just to wrap it all in. These little frogs, my sister got me to get from a lucky chair. My lucky day I guess, I have a set like this, jade as well, in rl.

Monochrome Sparkles

You know that feeling that you get when you buy some hair, an accessory, jewellery, etc., where you are just itching to have it in your inventory so that you can start making an outfit around it? I had that last week with these beauties from Helena.. the Kasum back spikes. When I saw the group notice mention for these it was instant curiosity, "back spikes, they sound fun, let's go look!"

And what do you know: it became a shopping trip. There was nothing in my inv like these and they are totally fun. I have to say the sparkle of the little "atom" particles in the spheres is a gentle sparkling glow in case this is not clear from the pictures. I've just downgraded my viewer from the 1.21.6 version because of it's nasty habit of crashing whenever I clicked on something it registers as a 'tortured' prim. The downgrade doesn't capture glow in pictures so well for me - but enough explanations back to the spikes! I think the spikes are the prettiest and most distinctive, striking accessories to wear - the little atoms seem to dance to me. The glossy shine of the metal spike parts gave me the initial thought of cyberpunkish outfits but then why not make their shifting colours the feature instead? The spikes come in large and small sizes, I'm wearing the small in the pictures, and there are also three sizes of necklace included in the folder which have a single, glowy, sphere as the pendant.

Here's a top that I haven't worn nearly enough as part of outfits before, which is Kyoot Army's Ilia Cowl top. Well, actually, part of it because I took the cowl neck and hood off to show the spikes better. When you buy this in it's original form you get a prim cowl neck and a hood that comes with hair, of which there are five colour options to chose from. The hair I am wearing instead is Aneema in Nickle Tipped from the *TSS* Texture Testers pack. The high pony tail is not only the right shade for this look but reminds me of a floating adornment like tail plumes.

The capris must have been some of the first clothing items I properly bought, all the way back in the mists of December 2007, these are LF Fashion's Cuffed capris and they have been a staple for so many outfits I'd be quite lost without them. They do come with a turn up hem and D-ring strap as leg prim attachments but I left these off as they don't sit quite so well with higher calf boots.

The final note has to go to the spiral eyes that are a recent release from Trap. I don't usually blog what eyes I wear, they tend to be the kind of items that people have firm favourites with (applies to me too!), but this time round I thought they should be. There are a whole host of colours available and they come as a base pair with left and right prim attachments. I went with the black and white version as they looked like something Tim Burton would make for a stop animation film. The notecard that comes with them explains that Selos Dae's inspiration was from an anime called Tengan Toppa Gurren Lagann , which I will have to check out sometime!

Every morning, to start my day in sl, I read the blogs. Always do I check the official sites, then my flickr, then a few fashion feeds, and a few posts here and there written by friends. I just can't always get out, as I have to constantly make product and balance my rl. It's like my sl new every morning. But I control it! Well I stumbled on Ivey Deschanel's designer challenge. This designer I have followed for a long time. Well okay just a year, but in sl years thats like 20, so give me a break! I actually literally own half the store. Well the products silly, not the land! Geeeeez!

I have always found her refreshing, she says what she means, as do I. She stands up for her rights. She has morals and codes she lives by. Her business ethics, structure and practices are well thought out. She is also very generous to all people, if they are noobies or not. That I rank highest above all, as we all do start out sometime in this second life of ours. We all were noobs.

She is one of my sl idols, and I have but few.

Well I never did here about the fiasco that went on on flickr. But if it warrented Ivey getting pissed, it had to have been fairly bad. My heart reaches out to all those new designers that got hurt in the mess. We don't all know how to instantly do grande shit. I never did anything on a computer other then email and gaming. Every thing I know in sl was self taught, learned by tutorial, or though help of my awesome sister.

So here and now I am taking up the challenge. I have kept my old ads, so I'm going to show you my porgression through some of them.

I had someone buy me a "Making hair in sl for DUMMIES" guide. It came with tutorial books, parts and some links to different resorces. This was made from that book. It taught me how to play with prims, the number one ingredient for hair. Would I wear this hair now----> HELLS NO! Do I regret making it, nope. And I dislike white. For some damn reason I always worn white!
Another made from that kit. The skin in this ad had no ear textures or nose, so you actually had to make sure there was some shadow in the sl lighting.
I was so proud of this ad. I thought she looked like she was having fun. This hair I made from learning some tricks off of Natalia. She now has a website with a bunch of tutorials. CHECK IT OUT!

Another one from my kit. Great name eh?I apparently shortened it =)

This hair I based off of a Pam Ann pic. I wore this everyday, well when I didn't have a mohawk on. I was given s set of hair textures from my sisters man inworld. I used them for about 8 months. I didn't have money, so I use to find skin demos that I could hide markers mark under clothing and whatnot. HEHE! The ghetto things use new designers have to do.

Then Cherelle got me Photoshop. And I learned how to make my own hair textures. Man I was able to have awesome colours!

Learned a bit more on ps, and cleaned up the look a bit, and figured out how to take better quality pics on sl.

Now this is my first hair that I really loved to bits, and still do. It's also my best seller. Now if ever you were to inspect it, most pieces would say they aren't mine. I used pieces from my kit for this, tho the design was all me. I really hadn't known about inspecting shit and ip rights and whatnot. And now it would just be too much a pain to redo it. It's one of my super primmed ones, so I just deal.

I always loved the red and green in this.

Looks like I have chest hair.

The newest style of ad. I have been fairly happy with what I have going on, and you know what, that's all that really matters. At one point in time, I was happy with all my creations and ads. We all grow, or you would hope so, and learn, evolve. That's what sl is all about.

I now sometimes put a background, but still am partial to my white! I like the glow of it, have no clue as to why. Don't like it, then lick my left . . . .

Oh right, so to all you new designers, don't let your dreams die, and remember, there is that one thing you might just be super awesometastical at, you just got to find it. See, I'm horrible at clothing :(

So ya I'd have to say this is my one big uber funny attempt at making clothing.

There are only like 12 of these babies on the grid! Made this almost a year ago. First try at clothing. Was not happy with the quality, so I gave up. But even I learned some new skills, and now a year later who knows what I can do!

No Bird Should Be Bound

As soon as Fricka (of {Frick}) released her corset piercings (shown here in dark pink from the pink pack) I was totally in love with them. And while I don't have a problem with hanging out nude, I wanted something I could wear with them and show them off, even in places where other people didn't want me to show off my boobs. So the hunt was on to find something with a swooping back. And voila!

This GORGEOUS dress is from the ever talented Callie Cline, and it's called "Swan Song", this being the plum version. And let me just say, I LOVE the fact that her 'plum' color is the color of an actual plum! Or, at least, the plums that grew in my grandmother's yard so many years ago ... Italian, I think? Anyway, I often see colors called plum that are generally a lot pinker and redder, which is just not what I think of when I think of a ripe juicy plum.

And what better way to really make an elegant dress striking, than with a mohawk, hmm? I dare you to find something better! Here I have on my very favorite of Stringer's 'hawks, the Lizard Frill in "Poisonberry" from the Cherberry pack. Why do I like it so much? I'm not totally sure, but I suspect it has something to do with the animal-ness of it, as well as the nontraditional lean. This is an old style of hers, one she's had for a while, but recently re-textured (I'm afraid I may have pestered her into it >_>). I felt it particularly went well with this dress in a thematic manner, because it looks much like a bird frill, as well as a lizard's.

Matching the rich color of the dress, I have on Fricka's beautiful NEW skin "Disco Sheet" in goth tone. Let me just re-iterate how much I love Fricka's work! She makes these awesome, daring, lovely, fanciful things (mostly skins, but some other stuff too) and it's all so damn affordable! If you haven't been, go there now!

And for a delicious sprinkle of goldy-green contrast, I have AlterEgoTrip's beautiful Fine Contrast "slate green" eyes on. Another very affordable (40L for a set of 28!!) and very awesome detail to add to any look.

One last detail to add - this "Platinum Pendant" necklace from DECO. The whole look called for a minimalist approach and I felt that this Art Deco style piece was just perfect, in a silver that went well with the white skin. It came in a set with matching earrings too. Most elegant!

Half&Half

Well sunday brought the close of Rezzable's "Inspired by Crimson Shadow" Fashion roundup. I was saving up for one of the outfits, and since I was at the show, I grabbed it all up! You can now get this outfit at the mainstore, Sweetest Good-bye. This thing has many options, you can make it very risque if you want, or wear all the pieces, like I am here.

I decided to wear an updo with it, but didn't feel like doing retro, this outfit was way to edgy. So I threw on Orly, in black and white to match with the theme of the outfit. I wanted to wear one of my new Fleur skins to the show, and liked the look of white on white, so I kept it on after I changed into my new outfit(I had on Last Call clothing at the show, hence why not shown here, don't want to tease you guys too much!). When shifting from my normal demon form, into one of the lesser beings on this earthen sl realm, I tend to stear towards vampire as the chosen vessel. It also seemed fitting for the event(Crimson Shadow, duh!). I have always loved green eyes in my lesser form, they seem so vibrant against my pale skin.

You'll see here also a sneak peak at my "real" primmed eyelashes. Yes that is not a texture! And the darn things glow, how cool is that?

And what outfit isn't complete without a pair of shoes from ::69::? NO OUTFIT! Kidding. You have to at least own one pair of ::69::'s awesome shoes. There are all different types, as well as some super awesome boots! They make other not so great things(like hair-----> kidding, really nice hair). How doesn't love matching girl and guy skullies on toesies?

Hello all! This time round I've got a bit of a different look inspired by Helena's Bellazane hair. I have to give a thank you here to the charming Arhat Bingyi, one of the Stringer models who was in the main store when I dropped by with my partner (he was having a make-over evening but that's another story!) and was super-helpful to us both. Having tried the graceful looking Bellazane out when at home I knew the dress I would wear this with pretty instantly - Comme il Faut's Sonata. Now I've been a little bad here because, although the Sonata dress is available, this red colour was only on sale in July this year.

I think of Sonata as a slightly Victorian style dress with its collar, the sheer patterned shirt and gold buttons plus the fullness of the prim skirt, which is why the ringlets and the back bun style of Bellazane made a connection with this particular outfit for me. I particularly like the top of the Sonata dress and I think it would pretty easy to mix this into other styles if the Victorian look is not your thing.

One element that is a lot more recent though is the Licorice skin in Praline that is from Wax Poetic by Roberta Beauchamp. I was really delighted to see that Roberta Beauchamp had returned with new skins in the last month because I had a major liking for her previous work. These are modded versions of the Eloh Eliot full permission skin releases (as it states in the notecard that comes with them) and I find the make-up shading so lovely and striking that I will be no doubt be wearing them practically to death, which for a skin chameleon like me is not that usual.

I find it funny too that it was unintentional to mix my sweets by having a Praline Licorice skin with Milk Chocolate hair, this may be a subliminal message that I need chocolate soon! To return to the dress though lol I did try matching some jewellery with this but came up a little short on the right type of ornate style to match the pattern and colour. However I did find a rose hair accessory that was made by the talented Kermit Rutkowski (who had his Halloween items pack at the recent Rezzable's Inspired by Crimson Shadow fashion show). Alas I don't think he has these on sale just yet but hopefully with some encouragement and nudging he may get a store one day. :)

(ok, enough butt kissing) I figured taking a stroll over train tracks was a great idea...it brought back to mind that scene from "Stand By Me" (if you don't know what I'm talking about, you are way to young to be enjoying this post!)

Model 002: Punk Prom

Greetings again my lovelies!

So part of what got me writing on this blog was this flickr post I did, in which I showcased an outfit that I in fact modeled *at* Stringer's store. I want to keep up the project and I think doing it here is the perfect place. So that's why this is number 2!

I was feeling a little punky, and a little like wearing some unusual colors, and also breaking out some stuff that I don't typically wear. And voila! This is what I got!

Let's start with the stuff you can find at The Stringer HQ ...

This is Kyphotic. She's an unusual breed of hair, with something of the prim and proper to her and yet a wild streak that definitely implies she's a bit untamed. She's shown here in the color "Plumberry" from Stringer's Cherberry color pack.

Here's a great closeup of the eyes I'm wearing - Stringer's Vivid in blueygreen. I love how bright all of her eyes are, and these are no exception.

I'm also wearing one of Stringer's wonderful skins, "Harley Doll Crying Girl" in the blue lip variety. This is one skin you don't need any extra lashes with because she's got them nice and thick here. It comes in several colors of lips and is mucho fun, particularly with punk and lolita styles. You can pick up your own copy at Stringer's Skin Store.

My interesting clothing choices start here ...

The fishnet over shirt I'm wearing is one of those indispensable clothing items that you can wear with SO many things and it can make something look sexy, slinky, or fully of attitude. I picked it up from Sn@tch, I believe in a 'fishnet pack'. I also picked up these awesome fingerless gloves while I was there. They come in a pack called "Finga-less Gloves" (haha, what else?) and are also one of those indispensible items. The ones I've got on with this outfit are the black ones.

The corset I'm wearing is called "Margo" in sage green from A Piece of Candy and has a really lovely brocade-and-lace feel to the texture. It comes in many colors and each are only 1L! You can find it in the 1L loft at the back of the store. The skirt is also from A Piece of Candy, this time from a dress set called "Novak". The whole dress is quite pretty, but it's cool that the skirt can be used on it's own!

Major SL bug issues!

Who hasn't been afflicted by some sort of bug in sl?

Well I had a major one with the forced client, now I had windlight before, and was fine, then all of a sudden I couldn't wear any glitch pants, the turned into full length, or shoe layers, they made my boots go coochie high!

I was getting super sad, specially when my whole Kouse's Sanctum folder got attacked! Couldn't wear any of my gowns! And I had a ball to go to!

Well my sister was group hopping, and found this nifty notecard that explained it all. Well don't you know, it worked! So for all of you, fighting with your clothing, it might not be the same bug, but try it out anyways, doesn't hurt.

I'm posting the original notecard in all it's context.

Celestial City Update Group members,

I'm writing this note for two reasons today. The first is to explain a bug currently affecting a number of users and how you can fix it if it's affecting you or someone you know. The second reason is to apologize for the behavior of one person who is not happy with this bug or the available fixes.

What is the bug?

It is explained in detail on this jira entry:

There are dozens of other entries on the jira regarding the same issue, but that appears to be the main one. Here is another report with a very good photo illustrating the problem:

This is a texture bug that appears to affect nVidia graphics cards with certain drivers. As far as I can tell the 177-178 series are the drivers causing the problem.

The bug usually causes a discoloration on part or all of the body. White legs, with a red torso and a black face, for example. The bug is usually present on the avatar below the skin layer, so it is more apparant on the CS Charmed skins, which are translucent allowing the bug to be seen through the skin texture. Occasionally I have seen it appear over the skin layers, turning even an opaque skin a solid color.

Because your avatar is rendered locally, people around you will see the bug present on their screen as well. Luckily, this bug is very easy to squash.

How do you fix it

There are two very simple options to fix (or work around) this bug.
1.) Press (CTRL ALT F7) to disable palletized textures in Second Life then (CTRL ALT R) to rebake.

Or use the menus at the top of your screen to choose:

Advanced > Rendering > Features > Palletized Textures

then

Advanced > Character > Rebake Textures

(You may need to press CTRL ALT D in order to have the Advanced menu option appear.)

2.)Rollback your video card drivers to an earlier version that did not cause this problem.

Note: Disabling palletized textures will need to be repeated with each login until this issue receives a permanent fix from LL or nVidia. The jira page lists the bug with critical priority and a status of "Fix Pending" so hopefully the permanent solution will arrive soon.

Part 2

I want to assure everyone that I am just as frustrated by this bug as anyone. And I would like to thank those who are experiencing it for their patience and understanding. Nearly everyone has been most gracious and thankful to learn there is a fairly simple solution. Unfortunately, one person is not satisfied with the information or the options available to work around the problem. I have been targeted for harrassment, threats, general name calling, and abuse by a string of avatars associated with this person. It has recently been brought to my attention that they have now taken to spamming the Celestial City update Group with their insults and agenda.
I am very sorry that the 2500 people in the group have been dragged into one person's problem and her own unwillingness to resolve it.

What's being done to address the problem

I have ejected the party from the update group and filed an abuse report for harrassment against the individual spamming the group. If you were present for the event and felt annoyed or harrassed by it, I encourage you to do the same. You can file an abuse report in world through the Help menu. (Help > Report Abuse).

I have also created a new role for the Update Group with the capability to eject members should this person sprout up while I'm offline again. I'll try to add some additional people to the role to help keep the spam to a minimum.

Thank you for taking the time to read this information, and thank you for your patience with these bugs and with the problems in the update group. As always, thanks most of all for being a customer and enjoying my products enough to tolerate me. :D

Everyday is for Spiders

I went out for Halloween in rl, and didn't get to see all the craziness inworld. I was lucky enough to have a big massive hunt going on, so did get to see a few good costumes. Well Friday I was only on for about a 1/2 on my main, but that didn't mean I wasn't getting dressed up!

I have this thing for spiders, always have always will. Actually, as I write this post, there is a nice see-thru yellow spider crawling down th wall not a foot away. The little guys like me, and I like them.
So what else would I be for halloween inworld-----> big fat assed spider lady, oooooooooooh yaaaaaaa! Some Duff please.

This will be one of the only times you wont see me with hair, unless you catch me on a work day, oh wait . . . everyday is a work day! Okay well when I'm out in public at least, and not running to help some poor customer.

I got this avitar way back. Not really all that complicated, simple really, but it gets the point across. It also have a custom AO so you can do nifty spidey type things. The best one is when you fall, that anime is super funny. It also comes with a skin and a shape, but alas, I like mine!

So the skin you see here is from Sin Skins, part of the older line Etheria, so you can nab it for way cheap. Now I couldn't be naked, well I could but don't know if people would want to check out my spidie bazoongas. So I did something bad, and people wont like me, but don't care! I busted out my leather bikini from Last Call, so yes ladies, you can't have it :( Not doing to good at bring you outfits am I, I'll have to wear something in the next one that's right off the rack!

The eyes so fit with the outfit, got these babies from "Inspired by Crimson Shadow" fashion collection now at the Crimson Shadow sim by Rezzable. Malkavyn Eldritch of Treasured Visions. This one is special and limited, as this black and red version will only be for the event, which ends nov.7th. All other colours you will be able to get at the mainstore after the event. this one is called ~TV~Clubbing Crimson. I'll show the rest of the set in another post. I also decided to bust out my own eyelashes. Most of the ones I make are big and bold, but these were just right. Called Tippy, at the ends they are splashed with different colours. The little spiders I made for a guy hair I released for Hairfair 2008. Since I'm spider crazy, I couldn't wait to use them, and since that hair wasn't done at the time, I plastered them all over my body! Everyone has "bugged" me for them, so later this week they will be released as a whole pack for any body part you may want to attach to.

So now I sit here spinning my web, and think about my new holiday store design, can you guess what the theme will be? Waaaaahahahahaha!

Birds and Bugs

Hiyas all! Helena, very sweetly, gave an invite for me to be a guest blooger (I'm in love with that word) and here I am to write my first post! To give a bit of background: I'm a recent acquaintance to the creations of The Stringer Mausoleum and The Stringer Shrine. I discovered the excellent crystalline mohicans that were gifts in the huge Magic of Oz sim opening hunt. After that I had to look at more of the incredible, inventive, styles that Ms. Stringer here makes. Designer lurve mentioned - onto the fashion!

This weekend was the launch of Paper Couture's new Autumn collection and the ensuing frenzy both in-world on release and then on the fashion feeds is pretty spot on. There are some fabulous designs and texturing in these outfits and I've selected one to feature here.

This is Gold Puntino and it's elegant and simple in execution but big on the details. What I love here is that you can take it in its purest fashion sense and make it look catwalktastic or you can do what I enjoy best which is big it up as a theatrical event. As I found with a previous PC release that was even more structural, the Silk Gypsy dress, the sort of Venetian Masque style gives an operatic air in my view. The texturing on the system skirt is excellently done with silken shading, the clean lines of the tulip shaped skirt to ankle length merges nicely with the sheer top and light, floating, feather decorations on the shoulders. As the outfit is a creamy white shade I went for MiaSnow's Dahlia skin as it has doll-like lustre in tone and make-up and matched the effect I wanted to create. Rarely do I not include shoes in an outfit, even if they aren't pictured, but going barefoot with this gown was something different to try and the nail polish on the skin I really like.

The feather decoration is what set the theme for me, as in the title, using Helena's imaginative hair that was specifically created for the Hair Fair earlier this year: Lady of the Bugs. As it brings to mind a more retro style with the back plaiting and the tendrils that frame the face it makes a contrast between the ladylike grooming and the bugs that are a separate attachment. The ladybugs (or ladybirds for U.K. readers like me) are scripted for a billion colours, okay 256 lol, so it was easy to play around with these to set them as part of the outfit. The ladybugs/feather detail come in three versions: two are scripted and attach to the mouth or chin point and one is unscripted. To finish the whole thing off I remembered I had picked up four Yip's Roly Poly Dream dress awhile ago which includes in the set various interesting features such as the wearable insects pictured here over my eye and around my neck and back.

Currently Helena is having a bit of a shop re-vamping, so Lady of the Bugs is not up on the vendors but is available to buy at the OnRez store pages.

Hi there! I'm Ruina Kessel and I'm one of Helena's models. I'm so excited to be part of this project, and I plan to make it lots of fun. Are you ready? It's a long one!

#1: Mmmm I Love The Smell of Latex In The Morning ...

The other day I woke up and I knew it was going to be a latex day. Now, one of the things I like about my love of latex is that it's absolutely not kink related. No, really! Ok, fine, don't believe me ... Anyway, I had a little bit of latex in my wardrobe, but not enough to satiate my desire, so off I went shopping. And look at the loveliness I found! Naturally, as soon as I tried it on I just had to break out my Stringer-wear.

I know, I know, I can hear you already. What on earth am I wearing?? Well, let me tell you ...

This is Stringer's super awesome Double Duster in "violet tipped" from the purple pack. I've totally got a mohawk fetish goin' on, and this is one of the absolute coolest mohawks you can have, trust me.

Along with hair, Helena makes some really lovely eyes. These are from the Meta pack, "port" color, and can also be obtained at her Stringer HQ. You can also see here that I'm wearing "Candy Shimmer" skin in purple-orange (which comes in many other delicious colors) by Crimson + Clover .

This luscious latex ensemble is actually made up of two separate outfits, one underneath, and one on top. Underneath I'm wearing Slick's "Delilah" in black, easily one of my favorite clothing pieces because it always makes for something interesting peeking out from under yer clothes ;). On top of Delilah I'm wearing Elixir's uber wonderful "Sheer Latex Bodysuit" in black. As soon as I saw it I *had* to have it. So yummy!

And lastly, these lovely versatile shoes - "Elise 2 - Elevate" (platform mary janes) from Tesla. These shoes are a group gift, so go join up and get them for free!

oh, but I'm not done ....

#2: Who's Your Voodoo Daddy?

I logged in to SL today to discover that a picture I'd submitted to Ivalde's flickr group had won the weekly contest (you can see it here)! The prize was a giftcard and of course I could not resist spending some of it right then! Because, you see, as soon as I got to Ivalde's I found that she'd released these new outfits that are quite QUITE awesome.

This is "Ivalde Boutique - Celeste". It comes with a skirt too, so you can do it tomboy, or you can do it girlie. Either way you're gonna come out lookin' smashing!

To complete my lovely prize I added some spice - "Lasher", platinum tipped, by Stringer, a hair from one of her tester packs (and extremely cheap at 1L per color pack, or 10L for everything) that had just the right amount of attitude. I topped that off with this this amazing tophat from Punk Shack called "Big Bad Voodoo Daddy". It's got skulls, tarot style cards, pins, a feather, and a snake skin strap. What more could a girl ask for?

And, of course, I kept wearing Stringer's lovely eyes, Meta "port", same as above. Isn't it interesting how a different skin and attitude can change the way the eyes look? Speaking of skin, here I'm wearing Pulse's skin "Tone 0, makeup 2".

Not wanting to flash it too girlie this time around, I found these awesome buckle boots at ETD and I LOVE them (I even got them on SALE for 30L ... you can too if you head over there before December 26th).

Doing it like Sin

This outfit just reminded me of the movie "Sin City" for some reason.

What better way to kick this blog off, then to show you guys one of my most favorite and first styles I ever made. Spikey Space Punk is some massive hair! You want to get noticed, well this one will do the trick! Don't ask what I was trying to do with this pic, I really don't know, hehe.

I got this skin from Selos Dae, another Canadian designer on the grid. Selos designs hand drawn skins that are super yummy! What impresses me the most is []Trap[](Selos Dea's store and product line), makes all the makeups in both male and female versions. Guys with makeup are just plain pixel goodness! I was actually thinking I was special, since only a few friends of his had it at the time, but then he put it out in his Limited Special Edition Haunted skins packages as an added bonus. So you can get it, but only for another few days, seeing as it will be gone on the 31st of october, not much time I know, but god I took these pics like a month ago, so foooooooorgiiiiiive me! The style line of the skin is called "Heart". You will see by the tattooing that is done directly on the skin, that it has a classic tattoo theme, and also does have the heart element.

You can get the skin in other "normal" colours tho, which I will show you at a later date, they were made to make sweet love to my mohawks!

I sexed it up with a sheer dress, so you can faintly see the tats that go down the whole skin, without having to pose nude in my very first post!

This outfit I got more then a year ago, I still remember the day, it was when Fashcon had it's birthday, so we all were hopping around the grid like mad, getting a bunch of goodies at stores. There was a brown version of this given as a gift, and seeing as I'm not a fan of brown anything, I went and got the black. Can't say I go this sexy often, but loved it none the less.I was super sleepy, really couldn't even keep my avi's eyes open!

The choker came from *Hexed*, it was one of the first jewelry pieces I actually got myself, and the shading just so went with this skin. My eyes are from =Hal*Hina=. Got these babies when the store was just such a little thing. They don't sell these ones anymore, but have others of the same style in other colours. They do have a red, but it's not so shocking! I have that one too! hehe. I collect many eyes, it's one of my other fasinations in sl(TM). And you like the little demon piggy? He I got from a licky(lucky I know) chair! You can find him at Winx's.

Now the boots! Everyone loves these oots, I had someone lick them once, and I didn't even know the person! You can get them in black as well, and they are all prims baby, none of that sculptie shit, not that sculpties are bad, but it takes true talent to torture prims to look that good, and the textures are delish. And these babies are Cheap! Well compared to some others on the market, that aren't even as well made!

This is the new direction of insanity that I have gone into!

I once had a dream to blog my outfits I make to go with my hairs, since on my main account, I only wear my own creations. People were always commenting that they would never have thought of that combo or simple things like a mohawk with a 60's retro dress. I always wanted to show my weird sense of style, and a few of the great cheap or free finds that I come across. I'm a cheap ass, goes back to my days as a designer just starting out.

Sadly I have not the time to dedicate to a full on fashion blog. I have asked a few others to be a "guest" blooger(hehe blogger I know) but alas I haven't found one yet that will take poor o' lil me on :(

So I sit every morning, and look at the other blogs, and tear a little, for my shattered dream.

Well this morning my dream came back to light, as I saw one of my online store models post a pic to my flickr group. She was going to start to take shots of the outfits she does for when she models. What a novel idea! Well I contacted her right away, and pitched my idea! Why don't we(the models and I) have a blog for my stuffs shown with other stuffs. Everyone wants stuffs right?

Well she thought that was great! And now after sending some notes(and more to go) I have a few guest bloggers that will join up, and still need to get a few more models in on it. It will be slow to start, and I have to learn a bit of code to make this thing look rad, cause right now, it doesn't scream "Stringer", but it will, never fear! I like the !!!!!!!!!!!! today! HA!

This will hopefually help make me less faint worthy(hehe not a boy) when passing me on the sl street, as you will get to know a bit more about me, and my lovely models.

I do have to say that finding a name for the blog was a blast. Ruina, Cherelle and I spent a good 1/2 hour on it. Some were good, some I said "but why not" and if they could here me, I would be whining, while others yet were just plain funny!
